Abstract :
A new digital controller for the pulse skipping modulation based DC-DC converter is presented. The digitally controlled DC-DC converter has several advantages such as high reliability, high flexibility and high programmability. This scheme has a unique feature of high efficiency during moderate and low loads besides very low value of quiescent current consumed by the circuit during the no-load condition. So any little saving in power will enable us to use the same battery for longer durations without recharging. Advantages of the proposed control scheme are verified with simulation and experimental results.
