Abstract :
A monifilar Archimedean conical spiral antenna (ACSA) that can form a tilted beam of circular polarization is proposed and analyzed by the method of moments(MOM) in this paper. It can be used as a ground station antenna in satellite communications. The influence of the conical apex angle on its radiation performance while other geometrical parameters are kept invariable is presented.
