Abstract :
Simulation results of a Siemens BFP490 BJT power amplifier for a frequency range 8-11 GHz are presented. It was shown that the output network input impedance is inductive and the collector current is negative during a part of the AC cycle, when the amplifier operates in high-efficiency mode.
