Abstract :
The problem of radiation of TE-wave from the parallel plate waveguide with a corrugated flange is reduced to the hypersingular integral equation. It is shown that the solution of scalar problem gives a good approximation to the radiation pattern in H-plane for 3D case of rectangular waveguide. The influence of the corrugations on the shape of the boresight radiation pattern is investigated. The regions of the grating parameters characterized by the radiation patterns with different number of maxima are defined.
