Abstract
Condition monitoring as part of a predictive maintenance program can dramatically reduce machine operating costs, as well as extending the life of machines. The ways that this is achieved are diverse and different in almost every operation. However, almost any one of them allows justification of the costs involved, with the result that when all returns are added together, the potential returns are considerable
