Abstract
Summary form only given. Joint VNIIEF-LANL research into conductance properties of isentropically compressed gases showed the necessity to study conductance properties of insulators limiting the contact area between the electrodes of the conductance measuring circuit and the sample. The results are given of experiments, in which occurrence of conduction states has been detected in a number of dielectrics compressed by megabar isentropic pressure of ultrahigh magnetic field of the two cascade MC-1 generator. Comparative assessment was obtained for pressure transition into conduction state.
