Abstract
LDAP is quickly gaining acceptance as a simple database for the next generation of Web services and IT governance and on the other hand, enterprises have to make a choice between two competing architectures: .Net and J2EE. This paper describes, how JNDI and C# libraries are being deployed in J2EE and .NET environments to access LDAP server. LDAP client application development under Windows98SE and Linux has been also discussed in this paper.
