Abstract
In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for effective visual tracking with the help of electronic signals. Electronic signals, like cellular, WiFi and Bluetooth signals emitted from mobile phones, are ubiquitously present and can be associated with the objects of interest. We propose to use directional antennas for collecting these signals and performing rough electronic localization. Such location information is fed into the visual tracking algorithm as object motion constraints, so the uncertainty and searching space of visual tracking are significantly reduced. We have implemented and evaluated this algorithm. Our results demonstrate the high effectiveness of our approach.
