Abstract :
This paper proposes a method for estimating the testing cost of a software for a desired level of reliability. The model estimates the testing effort before the testing activity begins. This article proposes a trade-off model between cost and reliability. Using the results of this trade-off model, a project manager could plan the allocation of resources in the testing phase.
