Abstract :
Summary form only given. System configurations that produce line video output directly compatible with CCTV scan rates, rather than utilizing scan conversion electronic processors operating at scan frequencies that are different than the CCTV standard, are discussed. This represents a design philosophy that provides a very simple electronic subsystem at the expense of a sophisticated optical subsystem. This philosophy was implemented in an infrared imaging camera system consisting of camera electronics, an image capture board that can be placed in a IBM-PC-AT-compatible microcomputer, and software designed to test and demonstrate the functionality of the system
