Abstract
The purpose of public-oriented flight situation service is to help users obtain the air traffic management (ATM) information such as dynamic flight and weather forecast timely and conveniently. Based on Web GIS and the architecture of browser/server, this paper designs an aviation flight situation map service system for ATM, with a general introduction to the main architecture and key modules of this system. A map layer model is designed by single root inherit principal. In order to reduce the response time, map loading is optimized by the concept of multi-layer slicing cache. Real time performance of this system can be improved through designing the event driven principal. This paper also introduces the implementation of integration and interaction between aviation digital map and dynamic flight and weather information at the same time.
