Abstract :
A Coupled Oscillator Array (COA) based on 4 differential LC Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCO) with 21, 5 GHz central frequency and 15% locking range is presented. It achieves a maximum phase-shift of 100° which makes it suitable for 60 GHz WirelessHD™ and WiGig applications with beamforming. The COA is implemented in a 65 nm bulk CMOS process and dissipates 24 mW from a 1.2 V supply.
