Abstract
Square patch antennas were analyzed for the effects of mutual coupling between the neighboring antennas. Circularly polarized patches have been considered with both co-polarization and cross polarization between two patches. The frequency variations in dual-feed arrays were also observed as a function of element separation. The results of mutual coupling between adjacent antennas from this paper can be used to develop new arrays, especially for narrow band frequency applications. The results can easily be extended to higher frequencies up to millimeter wavelengths.
