  • Abstract
Bone tissue engineering has been widely used for aging-related diseases as well as in treatment of sports injuries. This paper discusses biocompatible materials and cell sources that are best-suited for each application. Materials use for tissue regeneration should be able to stimulate cell growth, cell differentiation, cell attachment, and deposition of extracellular matrix. The material acts as a template for tissue growth in 3D. Resorbable biomaterials are ideal for implants
