Abstract :
This study proposes a new way to determine related alarms in industrial processes. The proposed technique has the advantage of being of high precision as it accounts for several variables of the alarm to determine the result. This technique was applied to real data extracted from alarms of a chemical oil refining process in one of Brazil´s oil refinery.
