Abstract :
Concerns the design of a robust power system stabilizer that is, a stabilizer to add damping to the system for all possible operating conditions. From a practical design point of view, only the extreme operating conditions are considered in the design process. A pole-placement procedure is applied to the design of nonswitching controllers for systems with multiple operating conditions. The technique is adopted for power system stabilizer design and illustrated for a two-generator infinite bus system
