Abstract :
EEG and muscle spike interference were removed from steady-state evoked potential (SSEP) records by a new spatial filter based on a second-spatial-derivative electrode array (Laplacian filter). The SSEP was first removed from the surrounding electrodes using a notch pre-filter applied prior to calculation of the Laplacian filter. Both EEG simulations and human sweep VEP data show a significant increase in detectability
