Abstract
This paper introduces a new multifunctional optimization tool for tuning controllers (MOTC) in the industrial environment. In the MOTC, the flexible integral criteria combining with the optimal seeking techniques are proposed and used for tuning PID controllers as well as process identification and model conversion. It provides the engineers an effective fool to get desired control results in industrial environment with the optimum controllers. The MOTC has been successfully used in many power plants in China
