Abstract :
A biopsy analysis support system, called BASS, is introduced. The system uses an unsupervised object detection loop involving center-surround receptive fields, and a nonlinearity to mark the location of cell nuclei in an image. Preliminary results of applying BASS to breast cancer biopsies are presented
