Abstract :
By the development of new magnetic materials the PMSM allows a considerable reduction in motor size, and consequently inertia with valuable increase in specific power and torque. These advantages coupled with the availability of appropriate power electronics devices has resulted in widespread adoption of the PMSM for applications in machine tools, robotics, and disk drives. Other drives are used in automation applications and in electrical vehicles. Fuzzy logic has been developed over the last 30 years. Fuzzy control has boomed in applications in industry since 1987 and electrical appliances since 1990. Nowadays, many scientists construct more efficient systems using fuzzy control. The control of PMSM using fuzzy logic control (FLC) is presented in this article. FLC structure is shown for application to an electric vehicle (EV), PMSM performance is shown using FLC
