Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new flight model of lift/cruise fan aircraft and attempt to apply an adaptive control method for its maneuver. First, the longitudinal equations of aircraft motion for a lift/cruise fan aircraft on hovering and small advancing are shown. Where the small variations of the front duct fan angle, the total thrust and the rear duct fan angle are given as the inputs, and forward velocity, vertical velocity and pitch angle are given as the outputs. Next, the construction of adaptive flight control system via polynomial algebraic method is shown. At the end of paper, the proposed control approach is applied to the lift/cruise fan aircraft and numerical simulations are shown to prove the feasibility
