Abstract
Rollover of large-size vehicles could cause serious accidents for motorists. In this paper, various dynamic outputs such as the lateral acceleration and roll angle for predicting rollover are explored using computer simulations, to determine the most effective indicator of the impeding danger so that it can be predicted and eventually controlled and prevented. Factors such as the varying center-of-gravity height and torsional stiffness of the chassis are taken into consideration to account for unique properties of large-size vehicles, as opposed to smaller passenger cars
