Abstract :
The derivation of the buck-boost PWM DC-DC converter circuit is presented. The buck and boost converter circuits are cascaded through an inverting stage. Circuit theory and manipulation will be used to simplify the cascaded circuit into the familiar inverting buck-boost PWM DC-DC converter topology.
