Abstract
Along with the growth of distributed services and applications in a networked system, to monitor, interpret, and control the behavior of the distributed resources become relatively complicated. A centralized management could be efficient in a privilege owned LAN system. However, without a privileged owner, to manage multiple LANs requires self determined management within a LAN, and cooperating operations between LANs. The paper presents an agent based architecture distributed framework which has the advantages of centralized control. This approach relies upon several well established technologies including objected resources, intelligent agents, and cooperative communication. The framework addresses the hierarchical domain management and functionalities of layered modules within a domain agency. A simplified application of printer management is also presented
