Abstract :
Integrating power management with modern microprocessor is charming and challenging. While we propose hybrid integration-VRB (voltage regular block)-CPU approach. Clear description with detailed images is given in this paper. Rigorous simulation following by accurate mathematic analysis demonstrates great transient performance and excellent voltage regulation capability. The development of VRB silicon chip is also reported in this paper.
