  • Abstract
A vendor´s view of AIN evolution is presented. First, a description is given of the AIN Release 0 architecture, network functions, the switch capabilities for AT&T´s Advanced Service Platform, service control point capabilities, and potential services. Then a discussion is given as to how the AIN service node can be added to AIN Release 0 to provide an intermediate architecture. The AIN Release 1 architecture is described including the network elements, the switch capabilities, the service logic execution environment, and the services that can be offered
