Abstract :
The design of the filtenna with bandstop element for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) is presented in this paper. The proposed filtenna fed with 50Ω microstrip feedline and open stub resonator is integrated into the structure to provide the band-rejection characteristics. In order to avoid electromagnetic interference due to existing wireless local area network (WLAN) overlap with the UWB operating frequency, a single band-rejection are designed to omit possible interference between these two systems. To achieve the desired band-rejection the parameters of the open stub resonator are optimized. Total dimension of the proposed filtenna is 30mm × 40mm. The proposed antenna is simulated using CST Microwave Studio to analyze the performances.
