In Φ 90mm×990mm cylindrical fluidized bed made of plexiglass, we study the fluid characteristics of two-component by composition of sawdust, straw and some inert particles. The results show that: the range of fluid for sawdust is relatively narrow. The rice straw used in this experiment can not fluid, in order to improve the fluidization characteristics, we need to join the inert particles into biomass. When sawdust mixed with inert particles which has a larger size than sawdust, the mixture occurs to stratified phenomenon, otherwise, it is not prone to stratified phenomenon, the smaller the mass ratio of sawdust in mixture, the better the fluid situation. Because of rice straw having relatively large size, the mixture is basically difficult to fluid mixed with a small particle size. Otherwise, the mixture is prone to fluid mixed with a large particle size, the smaller the mass ratio of rice straw in mixture, the better the fluid situation. When we calculate the minimum fluidization velocity, we found that the theoretical value coincide with the test value well.
