Abstract :
We have studied multimodal 3-D image registration with external markers. We have generated marker positions using Monte-Carlo techniques. The parameters of the registration (3 Euler angles, 3 translations and 3 magnifications) have been studied for various spatial resolution of the imaging modalities. We find that the precision (error of measurement) of these registration parameters varies linearly with the combined spatial resolution of the imaging modalities
