Abstract :
The study and analysis of two types of 2D plasmonic directional couplers based on the Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) waveguide operating at 1.55 μm are presented in this paper. We make use of transmission-line theory for the design and optimization of a branch-line coupler and a rat-race coupler.
