  • Abstract
    This paper describes the design of an all-electronic multi-tariff wattmeter which can be widely applied in both urban and countryside area. After comparing the hardware design solutions, this paper suggests the functions that are required by the wattmeter and also describes the hardware design diagram. The wattmeter of this design uses the LPC MCU as the heart, matched with other software and hardware systems with complete functions. The wattmeter is featured on two tariffs, eight periods, LED display. It also provides infrared communication interface and measurement reading handset. This paper also details the anti-interference measures for power supply of the MCU.
