Abstract
This paper presents the performance improvement of harmonic detection using a synchronous reference frame method (SRF). This method is used with shunt active power filter to eliminate the harmonic in three-phase power system. The cutoff frequency tuning of low pass and high pass filters is included in the process of SRF method. The shunt active power filter model can be represented by the ideal current source. This model is used for testing the performance of harmonic elimination. In this paper, the three-phase diode rectifier behaves as the nonlinear load to generate the harmonic of the system. The simulation results and discussion are described in this paper.
