Abstract
A triple 9-bit 180-MHz DAC (digital-to-analog converter) integrated in a 1-μm double metal standard CMOS technology is presented. The chip operates from a 5-V +-10% power supply and delivers an output swing of 1.4 V at 75 Ohm with respect to ground. Measurements indicate very satisfying performance at 108 MHz which can be extended up to 180 MHz. This makes the chip very suitable for HDTV (high-definition television) applications, either as a stand-alone solution or as a subblock to a foregoing signal conditioning part
