  • Abstract
    A necessary and sufficient condition for the positivity of a polynomial in two real variables described over a square is given. This result can be generalized to the case of several variables. The result plays a critical role in the development of necessary and sufficient conditions for the robust stability of interval parameter matrices and polynomials
