Abstract :
CRIEPI has been proposing the All Solid Insulated Substation, in which the compact solid insulated connection system is playing important role to give the All Solid Insulated Substation compact, easy for replacement of the equipment, and so on. For the connection system, most important factor for the electrical insulation is the high voltage withstand at the interface between the connection system and the power equipment. Thus the interface shape of the connection system has to be optimized. In this paper, we executed the trial design of the interface shape of the connection system. And the experimental investigation had been carried out for the electrical insulation performance of the interface section of the connection system using miniature models. As a result, the model of the connection system with less air layer in between the connection interface had higher breakdown voltage.
