A discussion of the trial of OC768c/STM256 (40 Gbps), transmission over a 7360 km segment of the TAT-14 Trans-Atlantic submarine cable system, using DPSK-RZ encoding in a single wavelength, with polarization mode dispersion and chromatic dispersion compensation.
