  • Abstract
While creativity techniques and processes (CTP) are gaining popularity at work place, only a few have studied what CTPs are actually being used and in what context they are used. Furthermore, little is known about the factors influencing the usage of CTP. This study explores these topics by interviewing four professionals who are knowledgeable and experienced in using CTPs in the business world. The commonly used CTPs are identified, with brainstorming being considered the most popular one. Three groups of factors influencing the usage of CTP are organizational context, willingness to use CTP and factors during the usage. The identified factors can be useful for business practices, while more research may be needed to confirm some suggested relationships between some factors and the effectiveness of CTP.
