Abstract :
A record continuous-wave one-pump fiber-optic parametric amplifier with a 4-dB equalized gain bandwidth over 140 nm was constructed. The importance of employing an accurate dispersion fluctuation map in the synthesis of wideband equalized parametric response was experimentally verified.
