Abstract :
Power at microwave frequencies is expensive. The higher the power, tbe higher the price. For exaaple, the typical price of a one watt amplifier at x-band is in the neighborhood of 5%. But a two watt amplifier can cost as much as 501 times more than its one watt counterpart. Double the frequency and the price can albo easily double. Vendors want to ensure that their products are meeting their power specifications. Their future business depends on that. On the other hand, users of power devices want to ensure that they ace getting uhat they are paying for.
