Abstract :
Describes recent and on-going investigations into the use of fuzzy logic for the control and management of automotive vehicle sub-systems. Two contrasting practical problems that have been investigated through extensive simulation studies are discussed. The first concerns the nonlinear control of suspension systems, in a passenger car. The second involves the intelligent energy management strategy in a hybrid electric/heat engine car
