Abstract
This paper addresses the voltage stability issue of the power system containing large wind power generators. The paper proposes a simple method based on network reduction and graphical representation of the IG characteristics to determine the voltage stability region of the network in terms of wind power production and the available reactive power support. In case of any potential violation for the voltage stability of the network, the proposed method determines the required remedial action.
