Abstract :
Under the backgrounds of `law-based politics´ and `active development of democratic politics´ of China, issues related to accountability system for officials are becoming an important topic in this hotspots. Currently, in terms of mining disasters, a series of problems are still very common: a positive atmosphere of practicing accountability system for officials still has not been formed; laws and regulations used to support the accountability system for officials are still far away from mature; officials who should take responsibilities for mining disasters are not willing to take the blame and resign. To solve the problems mentioned above, some possible solutions are raised, such as intensifying the officials´ consciousness of practicing the accountability system, building up the accountability system with laws and regulations, and completing relevant institutions and regulations to ensure the accountability of officials.
