  • Abstract
    ▪ Measurement of elementary matrix provides complete component characterization ▪ All important dispersion properties are readily available from matrix N; this eliminates the need for complex analysis of the Jones matrices. ▪ The elementary matrix directly shows the dispersive properties that are normally hidden within the Jones matrix. ▪ Concatenation formulas provided ▪ Learned that concatenation can create p´s and q´s not present in the individual parts ▪ High order PMD calculations are straight-forward ▪ Expect this to be a fruitful area of continued research.
