Abstract :
An electroabsorption modulator based photocurrent driven wavelength converter has been fabricated and characterized. Bit error rate measurements at 10 Gb/s show less than 2.5 dB power penalty over 30 nm with 10 dB extinction and input fiber-coupled power less than 2 mW
