Abstract :
A sheet-beam Extended Interaction Klystron (SBEIK) is an attractive MMW amplifier because of its high gain per unit length and compact configuration. An equivalent circuit of the five-gap output cavity for sheet beam EIK has been proposed in this paper. The mode, resonant frequency and the cavity impedance can be calculated by using the method of equivalent circuit in an efficient way. The bandwidth can be predicted quickly by the curve of cavity impedance.
