Abstract :
The results of development and design of planar magnetron-injection gun generating polyhelical ribbon electron beam for quasi-optical gyrotron in accelerating voltage range from 2 to 6 kV have been presented and discussed. The comparison of simulation results of polyhelical ribbon electron beam parameters with the results of experimental investigation of the polyhelical electron beam generated by the designed planar MIG shows the good agreement. Features of an application of developed planar MIG in quasi-optical gyrotron are discussed.
