Abstract
In this paper, the authors consider the application of two different indirect schemes for parameter adaptive linearizing control of a continuous stirred rank reactor. The first scheme is based on an identifier structure that assumes that the complete state of the reactor system is measured. For the second scheme, they construct a finite dimensional adaptive nonlinear observer for the reactor system. It is demonstrated that the adaptive nonlinear observer can be combined with a linearizing controller to provide effective feedback control of the reactor system
