Abstract :
The paper presents a new solar array regulator based on a buck converter with sequential switched sections. This regulator allows eliminating the problems of extra power losses due to solar section capacitance discharge and large bus capacitance that have S3R. Principle of operation is described, P-SPICE simulation and prototype testing results are compared.
