Abstract
Simulation is an excellent way to study the behaviour of nonlinear systems. In education it can be used to assist in the learning of the phase plane method, describing function (DF) and other theoretical methods. Sometimes, however, the implementation of nonlinear systems is not always straightforward as shown by some examples given in the paper.
