Abstract :
Spectrum sharing has been proposed by industry organization and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as the mechanism for licensing new mobile radio systems in the 1850-1990MHz band. Telesis Technologies Laboratory has developed a spectrum sharing modeling tool that has permitted trial Personal Communication Systems to be deployed within this band under FCC experimental authorization. The general philosophy for the modeling is described and examples of the output of the tool are presented
